So if you are a learning and development director shouldn't you be able to "spall" - you wanker.

Hi, me again - (let's just ignore the 'anonymous' post) I understand what it is like to be dragged down by a government job - all the red tape. When I entered private industry I found it hard at first but got into the swing of things pretty quickly. What were some of your experiences working for a TAFE?

So quaint that some1 is concerned about sllng.

Have things worked out well for you, I was kind of hoping for a reply from my previous post, I am collecting information really so I can try and help others with the transition from government to private industry in my very own prospective training organisation. Good luck anyway if you don't reply.

Thnx Ricardo - all very busy in the private world - a trip of over 600km today for a presentation then off tomorrow morn to do it again to a totally different type of client. For me the one stark difference from TAFE to now is th etotal lack of cynacism in my new workplace, not a jot. At the TAFE cynical people abounded in every nook and crany.

Yes, I found that at as well in the government job that I was in as well, do you have any examples of the cynical actions that happened to you? Would be interested to read about them.

Hi Peter and Ricardo,

What is it that makes you guys think that you are better off because you are working in private industry. Aren't you working longer hours, expected to deliver on promises and are accountable to someone who is watching over you all the time?

Give me a government job any day. Let me just say red tape? Where?

Perhaps you guys just didn't learn how to do your jobs properly and didn't have success at the things that you tried and feel more comfortable at highlighting red tape as the problem rather than dealing with your own ineptitude and working hard until you obtained your goal.

Anyway I think that my two cents just turned into about 20 cents so I'll sign off here.

Hey Jim - dont misunderstand me - private is different thats all - there are many benfits in govenrment jobs and I know - but I am trying something different - what is spooky is how many people in public education dont taste the other side because they get too comfortable.
